Rules
Each team will start 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex, 1 K, and 1 team defense, plus 6 bench spots, including 1 IR.
Scoring is half PPR. All Touchdowns worth 6, all turnovers worth -5. Otherwise standard scoring.
Each Owner is granted a yearly salary cap of 200 to spend on drafting and keeping players, and 100 on waiver wire transactions during that season. We will use ESPN’s Continuous FAAB system.
Salary Cap Budget for future years and/or current/future season Free Agent Budget may be included in trades.
Unused Salary Cap or Free Agent Budget does not carry over to next season.
All waiver wire claims are processed using ESPNs Free Agent Acquisition Budget system. Minimum bid for a player off the waiver is $0.
When Free Agent dollars are traded the commish will be responsible for making that adjustment within the ESPN app in order for these to be available for use by Owners. Commish will make every attempt to do so as quickly as possible.
If a team runs out of salary cap, they are done drafting, and also no longer nominate players as part of the draft. If they do not have sufficient players to field a team they will need to add via the waiver process. The draft is over when all teams either have a full roster or no more funds available.
If a team runs out of Free Agent budget, they can only acquire players by bidding $0 and winning.
The inaugural draft order will be chosen at random. Future draft orders will be the inverse of prior year finish. This order will repeat for 16 rounds of the draft.
When it is an Owner’s turn in the draft, they will nominate an available player to be drafted. By nominating that player, the Owner is automatically bidding at least $1 on them. Nominating Owner may start the bid higher if they choose.
After a player is nominated, any Owner may bid any amount over the current bid (whole numbers only). If no new bids occur within 2 mins, or all owners indicate they decline to bid further, the owner with the current high bid wins the auction and is awarded that player. The winning bid price becomes that player’s salary for the season and for keeper purposes.
Drafts will be held in person. Owners not able to attend the voted on draft date will be responsible for making arrangements. If an Owner does not show up or make other arrangements, they make no keeper selections, and they place no bids on players nominated by other owners. When it is their turn to nominate, they nominate the best available player per ESPN’s top 300 cheat sheet at the minimum $1.
To keep a player, an owner must spend an amount equal to that player’s salary from the previous year, or the waiver fee they paid to acquire that player plus a fee of $1. This fee doubles every year the owner keeps that player in a row. An owner may keep a player for as long as they can afford to do so. Any player not kept is said to be entering free agency and returns to the draft pool. A sample fee schedule is below:
Year 1: $1 Fee
Year 2: $2 Fee
Year 3: $4 Fee
Year 4: $8 Fee
Year 5: $16 Fee
Year 6: $32 Fee
League cost is $120 per year. $100 goes into the yearly prize pool. $20 from each year goes into a 5 year pool awarded to the team with the best overall regular season record during that span.
There are two divisions of 5 teams. Divisions are re-picked each year in the following manner: prior year division winners pick owners back and forth until their division is filled out. Division winner with the better finish picks first. Inaugural divisions picked at random.
Payouts to top 3 teams: 1st place: 600, 2nd place: 400, 3rd place: 200
At each year's draft, the team owners who finish 1st, 2nd, and 3rd will be required to buy a shot of their choice at the beginning of the draft. These shots will remain on the table, and one is consumed by the owner of the team that nominates each of the following: first kicker, first def, and first seahawk. Keepers do not trigger this shot. Individuals about to consume the shot choose which of the 3 they take. The Commissioner buys these at the Inaugural draft.
Commissioner is Page Russell. A majority vote of the league can change commissioner and/or rules.
Commissioner approves trades, and will only veto trades that are deemed to be collusion or anti-competitive. Commissioner will not stop owners from their own stupidity.
Starting Roster is 1 QB, 2 RB, 2WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex, 1 Team Def, 1 K. 6 bench spots, 1 IR.
Trade Deadline is end of the regular season.
Waiver system changed to Free Agent Budget (i.e., not continuous)
Starting Waiver cap amount will be $50 starting with the 2024 season.
Trade deadline is set to week 12.
Regular season extended 1 week (total of 14 weeks, playoffs consume last 4 weeks of NFL season).
Interceptions changed to -4 (from -5)
One additional IR spot is added to rosters.
Keeper Fees are increased and will now start at $2 and double each year thereafter. The new table is as follows:
Year 1: $2 Fee
Year 2: $4 Fee
Year 3: $8 Fee
Year 4: $16 Fee
Year 5: $32 Fee
Year 6: $64 Fee
Owners can bid $0 for a player at the draft. All teams draft a full roster.
